Ideas for Change is an innovation consultancy focused on disruptive businesses, participatory processes, data-driven systems, positive-impact narratives, and systemic change.
Lucas worked as a Principal Innovation Technologist in Barcelona, building the technical and experiential layer behind civic, healthcare, and business innovation projects.
Wicked Problem
Innovation work often fails when insight never becomes something people can use.
Organizations can run research, workshops, and strategy sessions, but the value often depends on whether teams can translate those ideas into prototypes, tools, questionnaires, platforms, and experiences that people can actually interact with.
In civic and healthcare contexts, the challenge is sharper. Data governance, public trust, citizen participation, and healthcare education are not abstract policy issues. They need interfaces, experiments, and tools that make complex systems understandable enough for communities, institutions, and decision-makers to engage with.
Solution
Lucas led creative technology work across Ideas for Change projects, building the prototypes and technical artifacts that made innovation work tangible.
The work included digital questionnaires, civic tech tools, research platforms, workshop formats, and prototypes for business innovation and public-interest projects. Lucas helped turn strategy and research into interfaces, installations, and participatory systems that could be tested with communities, clients, and institutional stakeholders.
A major thread of the work focused on healthcare data education and governance. Lucas co-created academic experiments and digital questionnaires around healthcare data governance with local healthcare cooperatives, helping people understand and discuss how health data could be managed, shared, and governed.
