Freelance creative technology work with VIMOD.
Context
VIMOD created interactive installations and event experiences for brands, venues, and public activations. Lucas worked as a freelance creative technologist, helping build physical installations that translated audience movement, play, and participation into responsive digital experiences.
A highlighted project was an interactive tennis racket game for Mercedes-Benz at the Madrid Open.
Wicked Problem
Interactive event work has to survive contact with the public.
A physical installation is not just a screen or a prototype. It has to be legible within seconds, durable under real-event conditions, responsive enough to feel alive, and simple enough for strangers to understand without instruction. The technology has to disappear into the experience while still working reliably in a noisy, high-traffic environment.
The challenge was to build interactive systems that felt playful and polished for audiences while handling the messy reality of venues, hardware, sensors, timing, and live brand expectations.
Solution
Lucas developed interactive physical installations as a freelance creative technologist with VIMOD.
The work involved building event-ready interactive experiences where physical input, visual feedback, and real-time interaction came together for public use. For the Mercedes-Benz Madrid Open activation, the experience centered on an interactive tennis racket game that let participants engage with the brand through play rather than passive viewing.
Across installations, Lucas helped translate creative concepts into working technical systems: prototyping interactions, connecting physical inputs to digital outputs, testing experience flows, and supporting launch conditions for events and venues.
