Context
Apparel teams producing hundreds or thousands of designs per year still rely on a fragile mix of Photoshop, shared drives, manual mockups, disconnected sales requests, and legacy PLM systems built for pre-AI workflows.
Design teams need control: approved blanks, palettes, artwork, tech packs, and brand standards. Sales teams need speed: buyer-ready mockups, colorways, editorial visuals, and proposals they can generate without waiting in a design queue.
HyperThreads was built to bridge that gap: one governed workspace where design teams build faster, sales teams close faster, and both sides work from the same source of truth.
Wicked Problem
The apparel workflow is not broken because teams lack creativity. It is broken because the loop between product design and sales is too slow.
A sales rep hears what a buyer wants. A designer turns that into mockups. The buyer asks for changes. The request goes back to design. Palettes, blanks, artwork, specs, approvals, and versions scatter across tools. By the time the work returns, the momentum of the sale is often gone.
Legacy PLM systems track product information, but they do not generate mockups. They do not produce editorial visuals. They do not allow a sales rep to self-serve buyer-ready proposals within approved brand guardrails. They also do not connect design choices to sales evidence.
The deeper problem is alignment. Design optimizes for what looks right. Sales optimize for what sells. HyperThreads gives both teams one shared system for moving from concept to buyer-ready product faster.
Solution
Lucas founded and launched HyperThreads as an AI-first apparel product platform powered by Traverse in Space.
The platform gives apparel teams a governed workspace for technical flats, garments, artwork, palettes, generated mockups, editorial scenes, and project history. Teams can upload garments, generate AI-designed variants, batch colorways, create editorial visuals, manage design history in a canvas workbench, and move from idea to product-ready output in minutes, not days.
HyperThreads is deliberately built for both sides of the apparel workflow.
For design teams, it provides controlled generation, reusable creative systems, approved palettes, garment libraries, editorial scene packs, and a workspace for creating production-ready visual outputs.
For sales teams, it enables faster buyer conversations: generate mockups, recolor garments, build same-day proposals, retrieve assets by description, and work inside guardrails without waiting for every request to move through design.
The larger product thesis is that AI apparel tools should not stop at image generation. HyperThreads is building toward a product system where every artwork, blank, and colorway can eventually connect to historical sales performance — turning the product library into a decision layer, not just an asset library.
Outcome / Impact
HyperThreads is live at https://www.hyperthreads.ai/ and has been used with apparel teams producing recurring design volume.
In a ScreenWorks case study, the platform showed:
285+ hours returned per month.
Approximately 1.6 full-time designers reclaimed per month.
Around 75% reduction in manual mockup and colorway labor.
Approximately $170K annual run-rate value recovered.
8 active users.
380+ AI generations during the measured period.
The product has established a live SaaS foundation for AI-powered apparel design, mockup generation, batch workflows, editorial imagery, project management, and future sales-data-driven product decisions.
Role / Contribution
Founder, product architect, AI systems designer, and venture operator.
Lucas led the product thesis, platform strategy, UX direction, technical architecture, AI workflow design, and go-to-market positioning. The work spans product management, software architecture, generative AI systems, apparel workflow design, customer discovery, sales positioning, and venture building.
